This position will be located in our brand new men's health clinic located in Rogers.  The Registered Nurse will be responsible for managing staff, overseeing patient care and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures as well as handling administrative duties. In addition, direct patient care may be necessary during peak periods within the clinic.

Our clinic is not open nights, weekends or holidays and you will never be on call!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Training of new staff and signing off/certifying of clinical skills as listed on the LPN/MA skills check list
  • Train staff on EMR
  • Manage the staff's use of the Testosterone logs, including the distribution of testosterone to staff and assure that testosterone logs remain in compliance.
  • Maintain inventory on all injectable and oral medication and order medication as needed to keep an appropriate supply for patients.
  • Act as an intermediary with vendors as needed.
  • Communicate clinical operational issues, staff performance issues, employee and patient feedback with Clinical Operations Director
  • Verify all invoices to assure all purchases were made and the charges appropriate.
  • Maintain other logs (Clinitek, Glucometer, refrigerator temp) to assure compliance
  • Case Manage home TRT patients; perform intake, maintain presence in exam room with provider, and be the main contact person for all home TRT patients.
  • Manage clinical inbox for clinics
  • Perform regular chart audits to assure compliance with documentation and medical necessity is established. This includes the review of Intake Sheets for completeness.
  • Prepare clinic staffing schedule and assure that overtime is kept to a minimum or less than 10 hours per month.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews in a timely manner
  • Responsible for managing/maximizing patient retention.
  • Manage patients referred out to specialists or for diagnostic testing to assure their return to the clinic when medically cleared. Additionally, follow up with patients who haven't returned to the clinic in 2 weeks or longer.
  • Manage clinic expenses and maintain total employee expenses at or less than 35% of total income and medications/drugs and medical supplies at or less than 7% of total income.
  • Fill in as floor nurse as needed
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • Current RN nursing license in good standing, with the Arkansas State Board of Nursing
  • Broad knowledge of financial management, operations management and revenue cycle management
  • Ability to handle multiple projects
  • Ability to respond to complex or difficult inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or business community members
  • Enthusiastic commitment to providing exceptional customer service to patients and internal customers.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to patients, medical professionals and clinic staff.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and balance workload in order to service patients and meet deadlines and requirements
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done
  • Must be able to operate basic office equipment such as printer, scanner, fax and/or copier 

COMPUTER SKILLS  

  • High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of any medical software/systems preferable

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Semi-repetitive type work which requires periods of concentration for varied time cycles as prescribed by the tasks.
  • While performing the functions of this job, the employee will regularly be required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, talk or hear; frequently required to reach with hands and arms; and frequently be required to stand, walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; and color vision.  Normal working conditions as found within an office setting, wherein there is controlled temperature and a low noise level.
